I made this for my dear friend Lisa today. The paper is from Basic Gray. I used the same paper on my clock. I just love the colors and patterns of this paper. It feels old and funky yet fresh!
I found these cute little 5 x 12 clipboards at Archiver's for all of two bucks. After I "modge podged" three different papers on I cut out 3 bees and a butterfly and glued them on too. Then I added just a bit of "sparkles". I also made a little two sided chipboard tag that reads "Do what you love" and "Love what you do". Oh and I added lots of fun ribbon because that's what I do!

I made my first covered paint can last week.

Our neighbors Cristee and Brent are having a little boy in October (their first baby) and the ladies in the neighborhood had a shower for them yesterday. Earlier this summer after we found out they were having a boy and that the room would be in a blue and zebra print theme me and the girls started finding onesies on the sale racks. Plus I did a few iron on transfers to two long sleeved white ones. One was a pumpkin that says "Punkin" on it and the other was a bottle of milk that says "House White". I stuffed them all in this tin and it became a "tin of onesies". Cristee said it was the funnest gift to open plus it was the only handmade gift. When they were over at our house last month for dinner she was going on and on about all of the handmade things in Paige and Megan's rooms. After that I decided I better make her something handmade and not just give her a stack of onesies. My sister makes these cute paint cans all the time so that inspired me to give it a try. The patterns were fun and I tried not to go over the top with it. It would be fun to do a girls tin with lots of glitter and sparkles. But I think this turned out fun and a little wild with the zebra...my favorite paper is the paisely print, I like how it is soft but not too girly I think it worked well with the zebra print.

This is the little clipboard that I made for Cristee and Brent's baby's room. His name is going to be Brayden (Matthew or Michael they have not ironed that out yet) and their last name starts with a W. So the baby will have the same initials as his daddy B.M.W. (Yes they drive one too). Did you notice I covered a ball point pen in zebra paper then I modge poged it and tied a ribbon to it. I thought it would be nice to have a little clipbaord for baby sitter instructions, shopping list, keeping trak of those wet & dirty diapers those first few weeks when everything is a blur or it would also be a cute place to clip snapshots of the baby.
I even covered the back of the clipboard with paper too, brown is boring!

This is the card I made for Megan's best friend Cameron. When I picked Megan up from Cameron's sleepover yesterday Cameron made my day. I asked Cameron if she liked the peace sign scarf and best friends doll that Megan gave her. Her reply was, "Yeah I like them but the card was really cool!"

I made this clock today!

I used a bare elements clock from Creative Imaginations, Basic Grey's urban prairie paper for the background, a big white flower cut from The Paper Studio (the name of the paper is actually "Black & White Simple Flowers") , rub on numbers by Daisyd's, stickles glitter in "star dust",
the transparency is "office Lingo Collection" by www.pinkpaislee.com.

I made this picture frame for Keallan and Danielle as part of their wedding gift. I thought just giving them gift cards was a little impersonal. Their wedding colors are brown and pink so I hope they enjoy it. Make sure to click on the photo for a close up.

I whipped this card together yesterday for our neighbor's new baby girl. She was born 2 weeks ago and her name is Love Marie. I used my new stamps from Stampin' Up, the "So Very" set and on the inside I stamped So Very Blessed. I think it turned out cute. Paige liked the way I put glitter around the flower with the love label in the center. I wanted it to stand out since that is her name....plus we are all about glitter!

These are the Valentine cards that I made for Mike, Paige and Megan this year.

This is the book I made for Joe Boxer. It has three tabbed sections labeled recipes, wit and wisdom. I put some great dog quotes throughout and made pockets for the recipe cards. I copied the recipes from the "Three Dog Bakery" cookbook. I even laminated the recipe cards. On the back page is a little folder and I put some photo corners in so Deb and Bud can add their own photos of Joe. I used Basic Gray papers and distressed the heck out of it. I have this copper colored ink chalk that I love, it looks great with the dark brown.

I made this picture frame for Deb for Christmas 2006.

Here are some more pages by Amy W. The blank ones can be purchased as kits to take home . Hope these pages inspire you to be creative!
This page is a kit that you can purchase at the store....they have them for sale incase you can't make it to the classes.
I love how she used real popsicle sticks on this layout...so fun!
I love the quote that Amy used... "Photography is my canvas and You're my Art"

I like the big white letters...they stand out nice on the bright paper.
Love all the bright colors and crazy patterns...on black....very striking.
I love the pink and aqua together and the bits of red! Another fun way to use lots of different patterns...love the snowflakes punched out of patterned paper.
Here are some pages by Amy W. she teaches at a local scrap store here in Ohio. She is incredibly talented. She takes great pictures of her kids , I love her close ups. Just thought I would share some local talent....she has been published too....so she runs with the big dogs!
This is a fun way to use lots of different patterned papers on one page.
I love how the flower mimics the tutu.
Fun use of buttons.

See how tearing the paper on a curve makes for easy elements.

This was a rather simple page that I made at a class at Scrapbooks Etc. the tags were made using shrink plastic...yep good ol shrinky-dinks in the toaster oven. I waited to find just the right photo to complete the page. This pictures of Megan laying on the quilt that her Mimi made is just perfect for the blues & greens. I matted it on a piece of paper that has the samed shades.

A Peak at my Scrapbook Pages

This page was made last fall at Scrapbooks Etc. in Westerville, OH. I kinda messed up the stamping a little, but it looks quirky. I love the blue and orange together, not traditional Halloween colors but it works. I love Megan's curls in this picture, oh how she loved that darn Tigger outfit.
